Elections happened on November 6, 2018 to elect 35 class 1 members to the United States Senate. The winners were elected into a six-year term from January 3, 2019, to January 3, 2025.[3][4][5] Two special senate elections were also held on the same day: one in Minnesota after Al Franken resigned and Mississippi after Thad Cochranresigned.
